Applied Nutrition has been recognised as one of the North of England’s most ambitious businesses in the 2026 High Growth 50. This is the second consecutive year the Liverpool-headquartered business has been included.
The High Growth 50 recognises Northern businesses that have delivered strong growth and are well placed to sustain it. Applied Nutrition’s inclusion follows another strong year for the Group – in its August trading update, it said FY26 revenue was expected to rise 50% to approximately £160 million, ahead of market expectations.
The 50 businesses included in the report represent 25 locations across the North and have combined assets of £2bn.
This year’s cohort was officially launched at the London Stock Exchange on 22 September.
Thomas Ryder, CEO at Applied Nutrition, commented:“Being named in the High Growth 50 again is a really proud moment for us. We started in Liverpool and have grown into a business selling to customers around the world, so it means a lot to be recognised alongside other ambitious companies from the North of England.
“Our team has delivered another strong year, with FY26 revenue up significantly year-on-year. We’ve grown by continuing to develop products people want and building our base of loyal customers – this recognition belongs to everyone who has helped make that happen, and we’re looking forward to building on it.”
Bod Buckby, head of UK primary markets, North, at the London Stock Exchange, said: “The High Growth 50 shines a spotlight on some of the most ambitious and impressive businesses in the North of England.
“We are proud to champion the founders, management teams and employees who are building exceptional companies, creating skilled jobs and driving economic growth across the region. The quality of this year’s cohort is a powerful reminder of the depth of entrepreneurial talent in the North and the significant contribution these businesses make to the UK’s growth story.”
